Yoga therapy is a person-centered approach to physical and mental health. It Merges wisdom and evidence from modern science, psychology and yoga to help alleviate a variety of physical and mental health conditions, all with the view of helping to promote self-care and agency, and encouraging overall wellbeing.

a yoga therapy approach can be useful for anyone seeking a different or complementary approach to health and wellbeing. Sessions may include breathing techniques, asana and somatic movement practices, meditation and relaxation techniques, and the promotion of lifestyle changes.

I have worked with people experiencing symptoms associated with perimenopause and menopause, chronic pain, back pain, cancer, Parkinson’s disease, stroke rehabilitation, copd, asthma, fibromyalgia, hypermobility, heart conditions, insomnia, anxiety, depression, stress and more.

Starting Yoga therapy might seem daunting; you might not know what to expect. And It’s different for everyone, as everyone is different, but yoga therapy at its core - as a holistic, person-centered therapeutic approach - gives you the dedicated space and time to explore yourself.

chair yoga

An accessible and welcoming group chair yoga class geared towards those that would benefit from yoga (so, everyone!) but may have difficulty getting on and off the floor in a mat-based yoga class. Chair yoga provides the same benefits as a traditional yoga class, making it accessible and inclusive regardless of age, ability, injury, or physical or mental condition.

classes are Tuesdays from 9:30 to 10:30am at dersingham village centre (main hall). Suitable for all levels (no previous yoga experience required - beginners welcome!). contact me to reserve your space or for more details. Classes are £9 each, or £80 for a 10-class pass (valid for 6 months).

Friday night flow

Set yourself up for the weekend with this open-level flow class for every body (and everybody). Classes incorporate breathwork, movement (both asana and somatic exploration) and relaxation (possibly the best bit!).

Classes are from 7 to 8pm at ingoldisthorpe village hall. Suitable for all levels (no previous yoga experience required - beginners welcome!). contact me to reserve your space. Classes are £9 each, or £80 for a 10-class pass (valid for 6 months).

One-to-ones

new to yoga? looking to create a personalized yoga practice? Want to develop certain aspects of your personal practice? after an initial phone consultation, you can book a one-off session or a series of sessions to meet your specific needs. One-to-ones are located in my welcoming home studio or online. Contact me for more details.
